Darren Michael Potter is a former professional footballer who had a successful career spanning 16 years in the Premier League and English Football League. He started his career at Liverpool and made his senior debut in a UEFA Champions League qualifier in August 2004. Potter played for various clubs including Tranmere Rovers, Rotherham United, Milton Keynes Dons, Sheffield Wednesday, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Southampton FC.
During his career, Potter had a stint at Tranmere Rovers from July 2019 to July 2020, where he played as a midfielder. He was confident in overcoming past injury troubles and aimed for a successful season at Tranmere. Potter retired from professional football in November 2020 while playing for Altrincham. Throughout his career, he made a total of 501 appearances, scoring 24 goals and providing 33 assists. Potter also earned five caps for the Republic of Ireland national team, making his debut on May 23, 2007.
